Hi Cutie Patooties! Have you all been well? I sure hope so! So excited to be back to share with you another one of Fall's Hottest Trends...RED LIPS!!!!!!!!!!!

First off, EVERYONE can wear a red lip, it's just about choosing the right red for you. Your best bet is to visit the make-up store Sephora, or MAC Cosmetics. Both are leading/trusted brands in the business, and there should be an artist available to assist you!

I will list a few technical items to remember about this VERY important subject matter, (smile) so that you are better equipped when you go to shop!

Fair skin should look for blue-based red lipsticks. This means the color is a true classic red, with no hint of orange or pink. A blue-based red is similar to what burlesque artist Dita Von Teese wears on a regular basis. This color looks fabulous with fair skin like Dita's. Red is a color that bleeds, so be sure to line lips with either a matching or nude lip liner to prevent color transfer.

Medium skin looks great with a larger range of red lipstick. Think of pop star Christina Aguilera, who adopted red lipstick for quite some time. The red lipstick that looks best with a medium skin tone like Christina's is anything with an orange cast to it. Blue-based red shades work well, but an orange-red pops against a medium skin tone, especially when worn with bronzer.

Dark skin tones should opt for a purple-based red. Kelly Knowles sometimes wears red lipstick on the red carpet and looks stunning with a red lip that has a bit of plum. The darker red shade is flattering with Kelly's dark skin and the plum undertones make the lip look regal and sexy.

Remember, these are only suggestions! Wear what you feel comfortable in! Do make certain to exfoliate your lips first before your application however! You can do this by taking a clean wash cloth dampened, and scrub your lips. Your facial exfoliator would work just fine too or, your toothbrush. There is nothing more unattractive then flaking, peeling lips, with lipstick on top. #YUCK! #NOBUENO!

Matte lips are about precision. Line, and fill in your lips with a red pencil. Then, apply your lip color on top. I personally LOOOOOOOOOVE using Urban Decay Cosmetic's lip liner in, 'Gash' first, with Nars Cosmetics, 'Red Lizard', on top.

(Allure Magazine rated the Nars lip color is one that fits EVERYONE!)

Stains are also an easy way to go red. You can control how much color you get, and it's sheer. Apply the stain from the center of your pout outward, and just repeat. You can layer until you get the desired color.

Try Revlon Cosmetics, 'Just Bitten' lipstains in, "Balm in Gothic" color.

Satiny Lips add instant Glamour! For this fancy finish, line lips with a clear lip pencil to nix smudging.

I LOVE Sephora's Definer D'Liner. PERFECT anti-feathering lip pencil.

Yves St. Laurent has this DELICIOUS satin red lipstick in, "Sensual Radiant".. LOVE!

A glossy pout is EXTRA flirty! Make-up Forever carries a GORGEOUS gloss called Moulin Rouge.

FALL'S HOT HUE

Go for the gold!!!!! This Fall the color that is a MUST-HAVE in your make-up collection, is gold! It's a bright yet subtle color that works on all skin tones because of it's natural warmth. Grow Longer Lashes

My beauty secret weapon--Probitics!

For years I've been a fan of balancing out my body with Probiotics. Naturally found in some foods, but also found in a supplement form, probiotics are good bacteria. They are basically living microorganisms that have been shown to benefit our overall health in some way, such as improving digestive functions, or helping us resist common infectious diseases. Four ways to lush up your lashes!

Hello Cookies!

I am hearing more, and more from my clients that they wish they could have longer, thicker, softer lashes. Here are a few tricks you can try out without breaking your piggy bank :) Please note: I've tried to break it down by your individual concerns. Did I happen to miss yours? E-mail me, and I will send you an individual lash RX! :)

Do you have thin lashes, and want them to be much fatter? Falsies are the gold standard, but if you don't want to go that route, load up your lashes with a thickening mascara. Apply three coats, and let each one dry before doing another. Top it off with a thin line of expresso colored eye-liner, and you're good to go!

For a great thickening mascara please do try: MAC Cosmetics Opulash Mascara

Are your lashes bone straight, and you want a lasting curl? An eyelash curler is a must. Before diving in, use a hair-dryer to warm it up. Be careful however! The metal part of the eyelash curler can burn you, so let it cool for a pinch. Starting at the base of your lashes, gently squeeze and release the curler moving up until you reach the ends. Sweep on your mascara, and there you are! By heating up your lash curler, this is what gives that staying power!

My personal favorite mascara for lifting, and curling is by Benefit Cosmetics.. It's called, "Yes They're Real".. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! I bought nine tubes. That's how good it is!

Lashes short, and you crave length? Build up those shorties, Honey!! Apply mascara from lash base to tips, put on a second coat from the middle to the ends then do a final swipe just on the tips. Don't neglect your lashes at the outer corners of your eyes for they will reward you with that wide-eyed affect. Please do try Covergirl Cosmetics LashBlast Lengthening mascara! You'll love it!

Are your lashes incredibly blond, and you want color? An extra-black mascara will give you the intensity you're craving. Contrary to popular belief, all you blond beauties out there do not have to resort to a brown color. If you want intensity, absolutely go with black. Even more fun: Coat all your lashes or just the bottom ones with blue, or green. It's totally funky, and totally eighties! Apply a great lash primer first to really make the colors pop.

Another personal fav to aid in giving you intense color drenched lashe: Christian Diors' "DiorShow" mascara!

Be bold! Be daring! Take it back to the eighties!

To pick up where we left off on the last posting, you are fully capable of creating fabulous spa like products at home! I wanted to share a recipe I have for a fabulous mask that is detoxifying, and decadent.

For an amazing mask at home, try this wonderful Strawberry Mask! What you will need:

1 very ripe strawberry

1 teaspoon of yogurt

1 teaspoon of honey

1 teaspoon of cornstarch

oatmeal

Mash the strawberry until it's pulpy. Add the yoghurt and honey and stir to combine. Add the cornstarch and thicken the mask with the oatmeal. You may want to lay your head on a pillow covered with a towel after applying the mask. Wait 10-15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.

Strawberries are wonderful for softening skin and contain AHAs. It's great for oily and acne prone skin. The mild enzymes and acids in yogurt is another skin softening agent. You will love this mask dolls! Don't forget to apply the mixture to your declotee area. Enjoy!

While stocking up on much needed supplies at Sephora, I came across a really cute eye shadow palette from Stila Cosmetics. It's called, Stila Barbie Loves Stila Talking Palette ($72 Value)

I remember spending hours as a little girl playing with Barbie, and admiring her vibrant out to there makeup. I still to this day, stop and gaze at the dolls in their boxes thinking, "Gosh, I would love to find that candy pink color you have near your brow bone, Miss Princess Barbie"....

Of course, I was absolutely thrilled when I saw this sitting on the shelf! I immediately picked this product up, and began to play. The colors go on wet, or dry, and have a hint of sparkle in each one. I recommend this product for all the makeup lovers out there. Have fun with it!

How to achieve the perfect manicure at home!

Does the economy have you cutting back on trips to the nail salon? Or do you just prefer to do your nails on your own comfy couch?

Make your manicure your designated “me time” and enjoy the quiet time alone; or grab your favorite DVDs and invite your girlfriends over for a manicure party at your place.

Prep Yourself:

There’s nothing like digging through your bathroom drawers to ruin your manicure. Make sure all your tools are lined up before you begin. Protect your workspace from any spills with towels. Most important: Make sure your polish is in good shape. I know it seems old fashioned, but refrigerating your polish will keep it fresh, and gorgeous.

100% cotton balls
Nail polish remover
Nail files
Cuticle pusher
Towels
One small bowl of warm water
Good lighting

Go Bare:

Use 100% cotton balls and acetone-free nail polish remover to slip back into your natural shade. Synthetic cotton balls and wadded-up toilet paper need not apply. Quality cotton balls will remove your polish more efficiently. For the best results, soak the cotton ball with remover, then gently remove all layers of color or treatment with a gentle back and forth motion.

Soften Up:

Even if your cuticles aren’t dry and cracking, they still need a little TLC. Massage hands with Sally Hands Cuticle Remover:

After soaking for five minutes, take your cuticle stick, and dip one end of the stick in water, then wrap the end with cotton. Gently push back your cuticles using the cotton-wrapped cuticle stick.

Rank and File:

Next, use a nail buffer. Most nail buffers have numbers on each side, so you know what to start, and end with.

This will give you a smooth, shiny, even finish. It also promotes nail growth!Follow up with your hand scrub, to slough away dead skin cells. Your regular body scrub will do just fine, or I love the Crab Tree Evelyn scrub.

Dry your hands completely, and now file. I prefer a square shape, you may prefer oval. Give both a try!

Get Polished:

Before you start painting, you’ll need a blank canvas. Make sure your nails are free from excess oils and creams to ensure that your polish stays put. I use a ridge filler so that the polish goes on smoother. It acts as a primer.

You don’t have to be Picasso to turn your nails into a masterpiece. Don’t over-apply. Three strokes is all it takes! One in the middle and one on each side ensures a perfect application. Polish that is too thick is likely to smudge when wet, or peel, once dry.

I personally love, and have used for years, Essie Nail Polish
polishes. My favorite is, 'Ballet Slippers' for a classy clean look.

Maintenance is a must for making your manicures last, so nourish and protect them! The Burts Bee's cuticle cream is amazing, and don't forget your Clarins Hand & Nail Treatment Cream

Our next makeup artist in our spotlight series is MelissaRoshan, the owner and creative force behind Makeup By MelissaRoshan. MelissaRoshan is based out of Columbus, Ohio, but also travels to Pittsburgh for on-location makeup clients. Not only is she an amazingly talented makeup artist, she is also one of the nicest and most genuine people I have come across! We hope you enjoy her Q + A session with us below:

1. First off, tell us a little about yourself:

Greetings, my name is MelissaRoshan, and I would like to think I’m about as unique as my name (my first name is actually MelissaRoshan). I am originally from Seattle, Washington.. Fate brought my family to the East Coast seven years ago. I have been a professional model, and make-up artist for a decade now, and I feel so very blessed!

2. How did you get started in makeup artistry?

I started out managing a cosmetics counter in Seattle, Washington. I always had a love for make-up artistry, and decided quickly once I graduated from school, that it was something I wanted to pursue. After growing tired of the demands of retails sales, and realizing there was a certain level of service I wanted to give to my clients, I knew I wanted to freelance on my own.

3. What is your #1 piece of makeup advice for brides on their wedding day?

Less is definitely more. Caking foundation, mascara, and lipliner on, can look un-natural, and ultimately unflattering. The look should be a soft, enhanced version of yourself. I also recommend wearing a perfume you have never worn before. That way, everytime you wear it after your wedding date, you will always be reminded of your special day!

4. What do you like best about your job?

I love the connection I make with the bride, and her bridal party. I am often told that I am more like a girlfriend, rather than a wedding vendor. This is such a honor to hear! I try to combine professionalism, with a down to earth approach for each client.

5. If you weren't a makeup artist, what would you be?

I would definitely say an astronomer. The Universe is unbelievably beautiful, and amazing. To be able to study it’s wonders, would be amazing! I do have to say however, if I were aboard any type of space craft, I would require/demand make-up!!!!

6. What is one thing you absolutely cannot live without?

I cannot live without my Blackberry, especially during wedding season!

7. If you could work with anyone, who would it be?

Wanted to share with you all a new ammmmazing line of make-up that I discovered at my candy store: Sephora :)

The line is a Japanese based line called: 'tokidoki' (no capital letters in the title). This line has long been popular for its terrific roller-skates, pillow cases, apparel, and much more. It just now made it's way over to the beauty industry, and I am so glad it did! The colors are incredibly vibrant, emollient, and totally inspires me as an artist.

From eyeshadows, to cremestick liners, this line is for the make-up diva that is not afraid of color.

I personally am LOVING their Perfetto Eyeliner pen. It provides optimal precision, and the colors are waterproof!!!!! Hooray! ;)

I also snagged a Punk Lash Mascara in Sabochan (purple)

I'll be doing a photo shoot in New York City in a couple of days and the editor requested very bright high pigmented colors. Tokidoki will most DEFINITELY be in my travel kit.

Happy Spring everyone!!!

Today I wanted to talk to you all about finding your perfect fragrance, how, and how not to wear it, and a few other helpful hints.

Interested in a little history lesson? Here you are :):

There has always been a trade in scents and by the year 2008 perfume had become a $10 billion industry. Today women have fragrance wardrobes of at least six different perfumes, rather than a single signature perfume, keeping one special perfume for occasion moments.

People have used perfume, oils and unguents on their bodies for thousands of years in lesser or greater amounts dependant on fashion whims. The early Egyptians used perfumed balms as part of religious ceremonies and later as part of pre-intimacy preparations. Myrrh and Frankincense were exuded gums from trees used to scent the atmosphere in rituals. Other plants such as rose and peppermint were steeped in oils until a perfumed unguent formed. The unguent was then rubbed into the skin. It's interesting to note that perfume has come full circle today as more and more of us seek out high quality aromatherapy perfumed oils to use in exactly the same way as our ancestors did.

Products that enhance the feel of skin and the smell of the body have been highly valued in every culture. Trade routes introduced spices to other parts of the world and a wider range of scents could be made. In the past people often mixed their own potions using home methods creating their own aromatherapy products. Many homes had a still room where essences were steeped out of flowers and herbs.

Perfume fell out of use during early Christianity, but was revived in the medieval period. By the 1600s scents were applied to objects such as furniture, gloves and fans. In the Georgian Era non greasy eau de cologne was developed and it had many uses from bath essence to mouthwash.

So how do we found our own signature fragrance?

There are plenty of perfume and cologne choices out there. But even with the variety of fragrances available, there is still one dilemma…how do you find the perfect fragrance that smells great on you? That is, without having to waste your precious money buying bottle after bottle only to find out they don’t work the magic you’re looking for? Now, you are familiar with the sales people at the discount stores, waiting for you in the aisle, ready to give a spray or two. Yeah, then you try this one and that one and by the end of your experience, you’re either confused, dizzy, or both!

Trying New Fragrances At No Cost To You!

If you happen to like going to the mall and visiting department stores, you can take advantage of your visit without having to buy their perfume. You also have to be careful not to try out too many fragrances at once. Decide to try between two and four fragrances per visit: one sample on each wrist and one on each crevice of your elbows. More than that is overkill. Take a small spray of each fragrance, allowing some time in between perfumes or colognes to let the alcohol evaporate.

As you take your stroll around the mall or go on to your next adventure for the day, the fragrances will be working their magic… you then decide if you like any of the candidates, or not. You can do this as often as needed until you find the fragrance, or fragrances, that make you, and those around you, smile. Once you have selected your signature scent, purchase it online.

The advantage of buying perfume and cologne online is that the prices are much more affordable. Also, you’ll find more variety because they have more space, since the perfume stores online don’t have to keep a storefront and make room for any other products. Additionally, while you are trying out your different fragrance, take a whiff of coffee beans (the counter should have some available) to reset your nose :)

Trying Out Your New Fragrances

Once you decide on the fragrances to try, the idea is to wear each for a while to allow the middle notes, or the heart of the fragrance to emerge. These are the notes that will reveal the essence of your chosen fragrance. They will interact with your body chemistry and become one – your very own signature scent. Wear your potential fragrance around the house, as you do your chores. This is a great way to test drive it because you will be allowing your body to heat up the fragrance and therefore reveal its heart notes. You can then experience the full scent effect and either buy a bigger bottle or take a shower!

Tips & Warnings
*If some perfumes make you break out, consult someone about the particualr perfume you are interested in. This way you can avoid a skin reaction at all costs.

*Should the price of the perfume you like is high, consider looking at other stores. There are many retail stores that carry name brand perfumes for a lower price.

*While there are many positives to wearing perfume, there are few things to avoid. One involves perfume and jewelry. Certain types of jewelry, such as costume or pearl jewelry, can become discolored due to perfume alcohols. Some jewelry can also be stripped of its outer coating. When wearing perfume with this type of jewelry, apply it away from the jewelry.

*Don't use only one perfume year round. Test out various perfumes during seasonal changes to see which ones work best in the hot or cool temperatures. Different fragrances are affected by temperatures when it comes to scent intensity.

*Never apply perfume behind the ears. It can blend with skin secretions and create a bad smell. Also, don't spray perfume onto light-colored clothes because it can turn the fabric yellow.

*When buying perfumes online, try out the same brand and scent in a local store first to be sure it's right for you.

*The perfume fragrances you wear can cause people to be attracted to you or, unfortunately, to flee from you! You should carefully choose perfumes that enhance the space around you. Be careful not to offend others with fragrances that are too strong.

*Find a fragrance that complements your skin and natural aroma of your body. The scent should be subtle enough to not invade anyone else’s “personal space” but pleasant enough that others will want to stay around you. Perfume is meant to enhance your personality, attire, and overall being.

Other tidbits:

If you have dry skin, wear extra perfume. The oils in your skin, or lack thereof, can enhance or weaken the scent. When it’s cold out, wear extra perfume. Cold weather tends to weaken the scent as well. When, buying new perfume, don’t base your decision on what works for someone else. Try it out on your own skin first. Everyone’s skin reacts differently to a scent.

The best time to apply perfume is right after a shower or bath. After bathing, your skin pores will be open and will soak up the perfume’s fragrance. Also when bathing, use non-deodorized soap where the perfume will be applied. Soaps and deodorants can affect how the perfume will smell on your skin; the mixture won’t always be pleasant!

When applying perfume, dab it in unusual places where it will stay warm and keep its scent longer. It can be applied on the inside of the elbow, on the wrist, neck, stomach, cleavage, and back of the knees.

Frame the windows to your soul..

I was inspired to put out this blog posting after a beautiful model inquired about brow shaping. I can't tell you how many times I see women with "bad brows", and how it takes away from their beauty.

Let's first talk about what a bad brow is, and then we will discuss how to get the perfect brow! Note: All photos were captured from online sources.

Love Madge, but her brows even in in the 80's were a no-no. Overly grown, un-kept, and penciled way too dark!

So how do you get the perfect brow shape?

Remember, everyone's (males too)brows should begin at the point shown above, and the arch should begin right above your pupil. The end of the brow should be a smidge thinner, and end at the outer corner of your eye.

People try to do all kinds of things with their brows, like forcing a high arch to lift the face. No, no! Your brows frame your features. If you over-tweeze, and show too much brow bone, all of your features will look out of proportion. Additionally, don't listen to anyone who says there's a trendy shape right now. ALWAYS follow your own brow bone, and shape. A perfect eyebrow can add a lot of impact to your eyes. They frame the shape of the eyes, and so can either make you look old, and harsh, or soft, and young.

I highly recommend growing your eyebrows out completely, and letting a professional shape them. After that point, you can simply maintain. If you should decide to do it on your own, here are the steps you will want to follow:

Purchase some high quality brow stencils. I prefer to use the celebrity artist Anastasia's: www.anastasia.net

These amazing stencils are fool-proof, and will allow you to get the perfect shape. If you're tweezing on freshly grown brows, they are perfect, or if you are filling in your brows (your own brows won't grow anymore) they are for you.

1. Brush brows upward. Carefully trim any excess hair above the top of your natural arch. Be careful not to take off too much at the ends or you'll have brow "bald" spots.

2. Look closely at the shape. Your brow should begin at your tear duct, peak at the outer edge of your iris and end at the outer corner of your eye.

3. Prep: Soaking a cotton ball in astringent and wipe the brow area.

4. Hold a pencil in line with the outer side of your iris and note where the peak of your arch naturally occurs. From the arch to the outer corner of the eye, your brow should fall in a straight or slightly curved line, depending on the look you're trying to achieve.

5. Hold your tweezers at a 45 degree angle and pluck the stray hairs below the brow line. Pull in the direction of the hair growth, or you may end up breaking the hair mid-shaft. Follow your natural brow shape, not the trends. It's very difficult to let your brows grow back into their natural shape after you've plucked them to death trying to achieve a particular look.

6. Fill in sparse areas with a freshly sharpened brow pencil ; use light, quick strokes to draw in hair. Brow powder will give thin brows overall definition, and is great for a more natural look. Using the brow brush, sweep powder up and outward over brows. If you're a brow novice, a tinted brow gel is a foolproof way to keep brows in place. Lightly coat brows using upward and outward strokes. Wipe off any excess and allow it to set.

Check out the below examples of before/afters. This isn't my work, but rather examples I found online.

Brows that are barely there, have been filled in, and look gorgeous. Opt for soft natural colors.

Not only are her brows shaped, but they were lightened too which softens her look. Lightening of the brows should always be done by a pro. You can blind yourself with the dye!

Uh-oh! Her brows were overly tweezed. A nice fill in took care of that.

She is covering her gray hairs. A great dye job, and soft brow powder does the trick :)

So to sum it up, here are the tools you will need:

A sharp, precise tweezer.

A great pair of brow scissors, and brow comb.

A great brow powder.. Visit Sephora to find the best on the market. The above shown is by Anastasia. You will also need an angled make-up brush. Don't spend an arm, and a leg please. Your local art supply store has just what you need.

I also looooooove Brow Duality. It is a nice high lighter for underneath the brow. Definitely a must have.

Dull & Uneven Skin?

As you go about your daily business, your skin is going about its own. Skin cells that have been around for about 25 days are starting to shed, making room for the new skin cells that will be taking their place. Sometimes the old skin cells remain attached to the surface of your skin, which can create challenges for the new skin: blackheads, whiteheads, rough texture, or an uneven appearance of the skin tone.

When the natural process of shedding the dead, dry skin cells doesn't work, you need to step in and help it along. Keeping the skin exfoliated helps ensure that your other skin care products, like serums and moisturizers, are more effective. When they don't have to penetrate a layer of dead skin cells, they can target the new skin cells, which is where they need to work.

A product I have used for years, and LOVE is by a line called Strivectin. www.strivectin.com

It really is a super-exfoliator, but very gentle. It has made my skin pimple free, and baby smooth for years. When applied nightly, the Overnight Facial Resurfacing Serum gently, and effectively corrects multiple surface signs of aging while you sleep---truly! You see, when we sleep, our body is a RESTorative process.

The bottle retails at about $59.00, and you can buy it directly through the company's website, or at my favorite place, Sephora.

If you want vibrant, luminous, skin this product is truly a must-have. Additionally, if your pores are large, you have dry skin flakes, or your skin color is uneven, you will find that this product can turn your skin around.

Make-up can only do so much, and by caking foundations, powders, concealers to cover your skin imperfections is the fastest way to create more issues! I always tell my brides that to really get that beautiful, healthy glow on her special day, the goal is to start off with a fresh palette. Let the make-up enhance what is already there :)

Get, "Come Hither Eyes", Now!!!!

They say your eyes are the windows to your soul. Well, why not make those "windows" as beautiful as possible? Before you roll up your sleeves and grab that shadow, it's important we do a bit of diagnosing and shopping first. Here are some helpful hints you can follow when shopping for your items....

The very first thing to take notice of, is the skin quality around your eyes. Do they appear sluggish, dry, or have dark circles? Do you have crows feet, puffiness, or broken capillaries? These symptoms can be contributed to genetics, stress, or nutrition. If you are not able to get the optimal eight hours of sleep, there are other ways to combat. Drinking plenty of water (8-10 glasses a day), flushes our system of toxins that can show up under the eye. Investing in a great multi-vitamin, balanced out by great nutrition is a must as well.

I personally love, 'Womens One A Day', but would recommend consulting with your primary care physician of course. Now that we have dealt a little with what is within, finding a great eye cream is a must. You may ask, "Why can't I just use my normal moisturizer?" The answer is, the skin around our eye's are much more delicate, and should be treated accordingly. For example, we wouldn't put the same cream on our hands, as we do on our feet.

If you are looking to treat puffiness, dark circles, or have oily skin, I recommend a gel based eye cream. Gel based creams have a natural caffeine agent, yes, caffeine, and so they help to de-puff, and reduce swelling. I love, 'Clarins Eye Contouring Gel':

If you have drier skin around your eyes, and want to combat/prevent crows feet, or wrinkles, I would recommend a rich emollient cream like, 'Shiseido Benefiance Eye Cream'. You can also try their eye patches. They are absolutely wonderful. I just leave them on for one hour, once a week. They provide an instense replenishing of moisture to the eye area.

So, how do you apply eye cream? Remember to use PATTING motions. A dime size should be plenty for both eyes. AVOID the eyelid, as we do not want to get in product in our eyes. Just pat, pat, pat, under neath the eye area. Always use clean hands or a q-tip, so as not to get bacteria in the product.

Next, choosing the right concealer is a must. I love Bobbi Browns line of concealers. They blend effortlessly, and do not crease. You can layer the product to get the affect you so desire. They come in all shades, and even the most sensitive skins have no problem using this product.

To apply your concealer, start over the eyelid with your fingers, or concealer brush. Next, lightly pat the product in underneath your eyes. I like to apply three little dots, and then blend. Applying concealer over your lids, will give your eyeshadow more staying power. Additionally, it is perfectly fine to apply concealer over your eye cream.

You don't have to spend an arm, and a leg to find eyeshadows that will enhance your eye's. I personally love, Almay's line of eyeshadows that are customized for one's specific eye color. They come with their own accompanying eyeliner, shadow, and mascara.

If you need an instant pick me up in the morning, and want a subtle shimmer for the eyes, you will LOOOOVE 'Nuetrogena's Soothing Eye Tint'. It has a cooling effect, and instantly awakes the eye. These tints can be found at Target, and come in all different shades.

Women who have loose skin over their eyelid, or wrinkles, should always stay away from shadows that have shimmer. Shimmer highlights every flaw you have over the eyelid, when the light hits. Stick with matte colors.

Your next step should be, an eyelash curler. Don't be afraid! You can do it! Don't let the appearance of this device alarm you. The purpose of curling your lashes, are to open the eye. The first step, is to start with clean, dry eyes. I always curl my lashes after my eyeshadow is applied, but always making sure there is no residue from the previous day's wear of mascara.

Open the curler, and place your upper lashes inside it's mouth. Close your eye slightly, then open it; all of the lashes should move into the curler's mouth. Always hold so that the mouth is parallel to your lashes. Move the curler closer to the eye until the tool comes to the base of the lashes, but not over the skin of the eyelid. Keep the eye open and slowly close the curler. Your eyelashes should fan out evenly across the upper bar. If at any time you feel pinching, readjust the curler. Hold the closed curler for a slow count of five, keeping your hand and face steady. Repeat for additional volume. Repeat with the other eye. Lovely!!!!

Lastly, are you wondering where some women, including most celebrities, get that certain "je ne sais quoi" in their doe-eyed expressions and come hither glances? Here's their secret: false eyelashes. Did you know that most "lash lengthening" mascara ads feature models who are wearing eyelash extensions so we'll all want to run out and buy that brand of mascara and its wand? Well, no wand waved over the average set of lashes is that magical, but here's how you too can fake your way to luscious lashes. I have attached a video, that will give you step-by-step instructions.

I had the wonderful pleasure of working with stunning Brittany S. of Heyman Talent Agency. Brittany is one of those women who have a classic beauty.. Beautiful bone structure, flawless skin, and lustrous locks. Did I mention she is also a doll on the inside? Photographer Shannon Williams Photography (www.shannonwilliamsphotography.com), and I had a great time working with her! She even serenaded us, and asked us to do the same. :) Her voice is reminiscent of Olivia Newton John, and Carrie Underwood.. Here are a few of my favorite looks from the shoot.

I love doing a classic beauty shot. It showcases flawless skin, fresh clean make-up, and beautiful hair.

Ladies, please do try a beautiful part down the middle of your hair. The look is very, "classic french", and gives you a whole different vibe. Smoky eyes, and a berry lip says, "seduction".. LOVES IT!

What a major transformation eh? I wanted to give Brittany an ultra vixen type look. I flat ironed her hair, and gave a smoky eye, nude lip combo. I would say she nailed this look :)

Perfect for foundation that won't stay put, filling in fine lines, or when you photos will be taken.. Smashbox Photo Finish makes the skin feel like satin, but in a non-greasy way.. A must have on all of my clients.

I loves Mac's stick foundation. Great for women, and men.. If you have skin that is normal to dry, and skin that does not have an exorbitant amount of blemishes, this foundation is for you. You just dot where you need it, and blend. You can also use it as a concealer if you're short on time. I also like this product, because you can build the coverage level.

I love Mac Select Sheer powders.. They go on as smooth as satin, and they keep shine at bay. This product is fragrance free, and will not clog your pores. It helps to achieve that flawless look that you see on my models...

Individual lashes were applied throughout the base of her natural lash line. Individual lashes are natural, gorgeous, and fairly easy to to apply on your own.

I am a huge fan of celebrity make-up artist Jemma Kidd lip glosses. From the shape of the application wands, to the array of colors, they are one of my favorite lip glosses. You can find her brand exclusively at Target. They are about $20.00 a pop, but will last you three-six months depending on how often you wear them ;)

Dior Show mascara.. AMAZING! This mascara gives you that thick, and luscious look..

Love Brittany's hair in the first two looks? I used steam rollers, and then simply finger combed her curls.

Frederick Fekkai glossing cream kept those fly-aways at bay..

The last look was achieved by the use of a great ceramic flat iron.. Magnifique!

Problem: You piled your plate high, and now your face is puffier than a blow fish :'(

Sodium-filled holiday foods (hello mash potatoes, candies yams, and holiday bread!) cause fluid retention.

SKIN FIX!!!!!!!!
To reduce swelling, wrap a cloth around a frozen bag of peas, and hold it against your face for ten minutes. Do not forgo the cloth, as you can get freezer burn.

By doing this, the cold temperatures constrict blood vessels and alleviate puffiness. Next, follow up with a great firming cream. My winter face cream personal fav is, by Shiseido, Benefiance.

Problem: You had a few too many cocktails, and now your skin is super-dry :'(

Drinking alcohol depletes skin's moisture and lead to a tight dry texture the morning after imbibing.

To restore radiance, reach for products that contain humectants, such as hyaluronic acid which draws in moisture. After washing your face, apply a serum with hyaluronic acid under moisturizer. My current personal fav is by Clarins.. The Hydra-Quench Serum. After cleansing, I apply much less than a dime size, under my moisturizer.

Problem: You scrimped on sleep, and the bags under your eyes are massive.

Sleep deprivation hinders the normal flow of oxygen to your skin, especially under the eyes. To fake the look of a full night's rest, apply an eye mask for ten minutes. Next, dab on eye cream in a "circular, gentle motion" from the outer corner inward, to rev up blood flow. This is a technique I learned when training in the Clarins Skin Clinic.. Follow up with a great concealer.

I heart these eye masks from Shiseido. They have aloe vera in them, and are to be worn once a week for thirty minutes. Amaaaazing!

Please do try the Clarins Eye Contour Gel.. It has a caffeine agent in it, that flushes out the tear ducts---this dramatically reduces puffiness! No, your eyes won't water :), so no worries in that respect.

If you have been one of my clients, then you know I love the Bobbi Brown corrector, and concealer system. It is absolutely wonderful! Rich, and emollient, it does not magnify fine lines, and conceals any dark circles one may have COMPLETELY! LOVES IT! ;)

Problem: You haven't quit smoking--yet, and your fine lines/wrinkles are getting deeper.

Another reason to errr, um, kick butts: Nicotine constricts blood vessels, which mean less blood flow to the skin. The result? A dull, ashy complexion, and premature wrinkling (especially around the upper-lip area). While you work on quitting the habit, use an exfoliating cream that has radiant-boosting vitamin C. Please try, The Body Shop Vitamin C Micro Refiner, about 2-3 times a week.

Problem: You hit the sack without washing up, and now your face is zit city :'(

Leaving make-up on overnight can clog pores, and irritate skin. To calm eruptions, smooth on a a lavender based toner which is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. Spot-treat zits with a gel containing benzoyl peroxide.

I loooooooove Bobbi Brown's soothing face tonic. I use it on all of my brides, and self. It is amazing, and safe for all skin types. Did I mention it also smells so refreshing, and clean?

Mario Badescu products have been used for years by celebs, and brides because of it's fast acting approach to the skin. As a professional model, I find I tend to break out right before a shoot! It is almost as if my little pimples wants to make their own debut. I've sent many of these unwanted visitors packing with this lotion.

Neutrogena's line of: 'Rapid Clear' products are amazing as well. I have them, use them, and love them. They work!

I just can't live without my:

English Ideas Lip Enhance. If you have small lips, just draw a line a pinch outside your lip line. I have a full lip, so I just fill in my lips with it. Don't worry, it looks very natural. If you fill in your lips with this, it will give your lipstick color, or gloss something to adhere to. You can find the English Ideas line at Sephora.

Victorias Secret Beauty Rush Gloss. Not only do these glosses taste yummy, but they smell great too. For me, I love to wear "Piece of Cake" by itself. For a summer day, I love wearing "Apricot", or "Chocolate". These are also great over lipcolors.

I just love Vera Bradley purses/luggage. The bags are high end purses for the "down to earth" kind of girl.

After photoshoots, or about twice a month, I steam my face with tea tree oil in a pot. Once my pores are open, I exfoliate, and apply this Clarins purifying plant mask. This stuff works! It pulls out blackheads, and it contains plant extracts---so even the most sensitive skin would be fine to use this. It keeps my skin squeaky clean, and healthy.

ION gloss drops. This is great on thick hair, curly hair, long hair, coarse hair, or perfect for a flat iron, or blow out. You just use a dime size of the product, at it goes a long way. It makes my hair so soft, shiny, and moisturized without a greasy feeling of course. You can find this product at Sally Beauty Supply stores.

I can't say enough about the ION Effective Care Deep Conditioning mask. With all the harmful agents in the environment, it can be so harsh on your hair. I leave this on overnight. It removes all the "gook" from your hair, and helps to repair split ends, dryness, etc. I use this once a month.

Shiseido Benefiance Eye Mask. Heck, I'm not on commission. This product is a pinch expensive, but it is amazing. They are little eye mask that you wear after cleansing your skin. Wear them for about one hour, once a week. It removes dark circles, puffiness, and leaves the delicate eye area intensley moisturized. Even the oiliest of skins can benefit from this product. You can find this product at your higher end department stores.

My skin gets drier in the winter. I love my Shiseido Benefiance moisturizing cream. I use it after cleansing, and under my makeup.

When the weather is not freezing, I love to use my Clarins Mult-Active Day Cream. You definatley should have a mosturizer specifically for cold weather, and for warm weather. Don't forget your sunblock!

Smiths Rosebud Salve has been around since the early 1900's. There's a reason. This is an amazing salve for dry areas. Many celeb's use this as a lip moisturizer. I love it!

Fekkai products are amazing. I keep this glossing cream for hair on hand in my makeup case, and also at home. Great for fly away pieces.

My secret is out now. This Sparkle eyedust by N.Y.C. cosmetics, is affordable (3.99) and available at most local drugstores. It comes in many different shades, and is a gorgeous subtle shimmer for the eyes. I wear this with two coats of mascara for a quick, clean look.

Aveeno Cleansing Pads have cucumber base, and really get's down to the nitty, gritty for my skin.

I love this Clarins Tinted Moisturizer. It's a lightweigt moisturizer, that is the same color as my skin. So, not only is it hydrating, protecting (because of the SPF), but it gives me great coverage.

I love this mascara by Maybelline. It separates my lashes, without making them look like spider legs (ick). This affordable mascara lengthens, thickens, and gives me gorgeous natural eyelashes.

Your brows frame your face. So having an impeccable brow, for me is a must. I love my Shiseido brow pencil. I use it for a more dramatic brow, or just to enhance my look. It will not rub off, and it conditions your brow .

When I am not using Vaseline on my legs, I will indulge in Benefits Bathina product for the legs. It lightly fragrances your legs, while adding a gorgeous sheen.

Want your eyes to reallllly pop? Apply celebrity eyebrow artist, Anastasia's, 'Brow Duality', just under the brow bone. This fabulous product enhances the arch of your brows, and gives your eyes a youthful glow!

You can be dressed to the nines, but if your hands are dry, cracked, have visible hang nails, this can be your biggest fashion faux pas !!!!

Hands play an important role in communication. Imagine what life would be like without your hands. It is a part of the body that you use the most, you cook with them, get dressed with them, write with them, empathize with them and shake others hands when you meet them. Take good care of your hands and treat them well as they are essential for your existence, and they make great accessories!

Here are few hand care tips:

The skin on your hand is thin and delicate; therefore take special care of them.
Moisturize your hands at least four times a day.
For dry hands after washing your hands with soap, wet them again. Pour salt on your hands and then scrub them under water. Dry hands and apply moisturizer on them.
Wear rubber gloves while working at home and in the garden.
Protect and prevent your hands from aging and abuse.
Protect your hands from the ravages of changing weather.

Welcome back gorgeous gals! This may shock you, but a huge part of my beauty staple involves (clears throat).. Vaseline. Yes chicas, it is true. This inexpensive rich emollient works wonders.

One way I use this, is as a foot cream. After bathing, I slough my feet with a pumice stone. Next, I slather on a large amount of Vaseline to each foot, and then wear socks overnight. I wake up to incredibly soft un-calloused feet! By doing this, your prolonging that pedicure, or just maintaining soft tootsies.

Having clean nails is a must for me for many reasons. One, when I work with clients, my hands are one of the first things they notice. Additionally, I am offered a lot of modeling jobs that require my hands to be shown. I just apply Vaseline around my cuticles to keep them soft, and supple.

Here I am, showcasing my hands...

I like to keep a trial size jar in my purse, and use it for my lips. Did you know when you lick your lips, you are depleting moisture from them? I love using Vaseline to keep cracked lips at bay.

I also loooove using Vaseline on photoshoots for my models, but use it on myself as well. I just apply a quarter size to each leg, and it provides a gorgeous sheen that elongates the legs.

Hola everyone! I am super stoked to bring you another, 'G.G.A'!!!!!! The model I bring you today is the fabuloso Alisha T., of Heyman Talent Models! Alisha is probably one of the sweetest models I have ever met. She has such a gentle spirit, and is also strikingly gorgeous! A natural red-hued beauty, I couldn't wait to do her make-up! Alisha is currently in college, but absolutely loves modeling! She will definitely take the industry by storm :)

The photographer was the ultra fly Shannon Williams Photography, hair, and make-up by yours truly ;)

The look I went for was an updated "mod-squad" look. Balancing a strong eye with a soft nude lip, is very chic, very Paris, dahhhlings :)

I had great fun doing a softer look on Alisha as well. I really wanted her blue eyes to pop, so golden brown tones were the way to go. The lips, a mauvy/nude...

I looooooove parting a womans hair down the middle. It is very elegant, and provides a whole different look for the face :)

Want to achieve the first look? Start off with a great stick foundation by Mac, Nars cream blush in, (clears throat), "Orgasm", nude lip liner, concealer on the lips, and a sheer gloss :)

For the second, follow the same steps, but just add color to your lips, and a great bronze eyeshadow palette, like Estee Lauders, 'Bronze Goddess'.

Hello Fab Chicas! I hope you all are having a wonderful summer :) Wedding season is upon us, so I am not able to post as much as I would like. I do promise however, to make every post worth the wait, Dolls! :) I bring to you two, "Gorgeous Guy Alerts". I had the pleasure of working with two terrific Heyman Talent Models a couple weeks ago. I had a blast, and they look, GORGEOUS :)

The first model I bring you is Jay Davis. Jay is such a ray-of-sunshine to work with. Very humble, and unaware of his handsomness :)
Ladies, can you believe an innocent face like this belongs to a boxer? Yes! He is :)

For Jay, I chose to stick with light, and natural. I started off by professionally grooming his brows, a wonderful concealer stick by Bobbi Brown, Mac Select Sheer powder, and Burts Bees chapstick. It is my own personal belief that every guy should maintain a well groomed brow. It takes years off of him by, "opening the eye", and is very elegant.

Our next model is Tony Banks. Tony is also a gem to work with. A true gentlemen, soft spoken, but hilarious. Even while I groomed his eyebrows, he stayed ever calm, and gentle :) Don't let those puppy dog eyes fool you. Tony is a Black Belt in Martial Arts!!!!!! I used the same products as mentioned above for Jay, but in the appropriate colors :)

Lethal Lips!

Hello dolls! With the fall season approaching, now is the time to get ready to work the darker lip! Don't worry! Everyone has a dark lip color that is chic, yet elegant for them. The trick is just finding what works :) Darker lips make your teeth appear whiter, and are a fabulous accessory.
Before we go into the hottest new burgundy's, wines, and reds, I must remind you all how important it is to start with a well moisturized lip. Darker lips can highlight every imperfection one has :)

I personally love using basic sugar, and gently massaging the granules into my lips. I rinse, and pat dry. You can also take a tooth brush, and massage daily. Rubbing a face cloth across your lips while bathing, also works wonders.

For a major splurge, you can try Laura Gellers, 'Lip Strip'. At $16.00 a pop, it lasts about three months, and leaves your lip soft/supple.

Next, you will want to apply a thin layer of pressed powder, concealer, or foundation to the lips. This gives your lipcolor something to adhere to :)

Your next step will be to line your lips. You will want to choose a lip liner that compliments the lip color. It does not need to match perfectly. Ladies, please do follow your lip line exactly. Drawing a line outside of your lips is an instant way to "date" your look, and looks un-natural.

Now, you are ready for that lip color! Below, you will find some of the best on the market :)

Laura Gellers' creme couture lipstick in the shade, 'Bordeaux'. This matte formula is stocked with silicones for a soft, weightless finish. Even though this puppy is matte, not to worry! It is very conditioning!

I love Givenchy Rouge Interdits' lipstick in, 'Flirting Brown'. This is sure to give you a "va-va-va-voom" pout.

Loracs' lipstick in, 'Leading Lady' is so beautiful! Infused with antioxidants, this lipstick has a special SMS complex (Second Messenger Complex) that helps counteract the visible signs of aging! Yay!

Isn't this gorgeous? It is Yves Saint Laurents' lip color in, 'Swirly'. This color-shine complex keeps lips visibly smoothed, plumped, and radiant----not to mention, drenched in a decadent display of color!

Here we have Duwops' limited addition lip color in, 'Private Red'. Made with classic "mood lipstick" technology of the 70's, this formula adapts to your body to create the perfect red for you.

I absolutely love to use this next product when I feel slugglish... It really helps me get going before an early morning wedding, or photoshoot. 'Lumene Time Freeze Instant Cooling Eye Stick'. You just apply this underneath your lower lashes for an instant refresher..

I am someone who can perspire very easily. If you are like me, and don't want to worry about not being as fresh as possible, try, 'Secret Clinical Strength'. I sometimes work on twelve hour shoots, and this deoderant has never failed me, even when I am at my most hormonal! ;)

The last product I bring you, is Clarins Sunblock. I have used their products for years, and LOVE THEM! They are derived from natural plant extracts, smell wonderful, and provide the coverage we need!

Hi ladies! I am back with another, 'Gorgeous Guy Alert'. :) I always start off by saying I haven't met a man that can even hold a candle to my hubby (smile), but I do love to post these :)
The model I bring you today is: Adam Stone of Heyman Talent Modeling Agency. Adam is a professional model, and is definitely what you call, "tall, dark, and handsome".. I had the great pleasure of working with the ultra fabulous Amanda of: (www.amandajulca.com), and Katie Minister of: (www.ministerimages.com)

Katie needed pictures for her website, and called on us to capture her personality, and beauty. I had so much fun working with both women. It is always an honor, when someone places faith in my artistry to give them what they want. :)

The fabulous Katie is a wife, and mother of two in addition to a fabulous photographer. Due to here hectic schedule, she is more of a minimalist, and wanted a look that was natural, with a bit of spunk. For her hair, I opted for a look that was simple, and easy. Her make-up, I did the Laura Mercier signature, 'Flawless Face', balanced out by a played up eye, and soft lip.

Amanda Julca really is amazing.. She is really able to bring out the best in her clients!

Hi dolls! Just got off the set of a shoot, but I just wanted to quickly share with you, three models I had the pleasure of doing make-up, and hair for. The photographer was Shannon Williams Photography: www.shannonwilliamsphotography.com He not only photographs weddings, but is a wonderful fashion photographer. Amazing guy, and I am so honored to be able to work with him!

Here we are with a lighter look, for her modeling portfolio. It looks like we are in France, but the shoot was actually in Worthington, Ohio! The model is the fabulous Ewa B. of Heyman Talent

Here is our next model Meaghan Boyd. Meg is one of Columbus' top models, having been on countless billboards, commercials, and the like. The make-up had to be very high fashion as well. I had so much fun!

And here we are with the model Alli D. of Heyman Talent Agency. Alli is such a ray of sunshine, and I expect to see her go very far. At the tender age of seventeen, I wanted to give her a hip, spunky, youthful look with the make-up, and hair. She nailed it! I hope I did too!

Well, hope all is well with everyone! The main item I used on all models to give that flawless skin look, was the Smash Box Studios foundation primer. Amazing!!!!! Apply this before your foundation to even out the skin. Fine lines dissapear, acne scars, etc. Trust me, it works, and yes, you need it! You can get this puppy at Sephora.

Today, I wanted to share with you a wonderful way to detoxify your body, reduce cellulite (yay!!!!), and improve circulation.

Dry skin brushing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first learned of Dry skin brushing, when I lived in New York City, and worked for a day spa. I was initially intimidated by such a thought. How painful, and silly was this? Well, dolls, dry skin brushing is not painful at all! Quite the contrary! Dry skin brushing is soothing, and relaxing.

The skin is the largest organ of the body. It is the one that shields the entire body from harm. And with the harmful elements in our environment, there is a lot of stress on your skin which can lead to dry body skin. The wrong pH levels from creams, soaps, facial wash and the like can harm the skin. But with the advanced technology and science there are a lot of ways on how to treat this problem. There are also natural ways that can help you keep your skin healthy and one of these is dry skin brushing.

Dry skin brushing is a technique that will helps the lymph system to get rid of toxins or dirt that is collected in the lymph glands. It will help open the pores so the metabolic wastes can be removed from the body. It has been said that it helps the skin to become healthier.

The benefits of dry skin brushing are:

1. Gets rid of cellulite
2. Helps tighten the skin. This technique helps in increasing the flow of blood that decreases cellulite appearance. The skin brushing will get rid of the old layer of the skin and the new layer will resurface that result to a smoother skin.
3. Circulation of the blood is stimulated.
4. Immune system is strengthened. Decreases the chances of infection and increases the disposal of body toxins.
5. Gets rid of dead skin cells.
6. Cleanses the lymphatic system.
7. Tones the muscle. Through this technique, it stimulates the nerve endings. This leads to the activation of individual muscle fibers.
8. Function of the nervous system is improved.
9. Aids in proper digestion. The skin will absorb more nutrients since the pores are not anymore clogged with dirt and other toxins. A healthy skin also contributes to the entire body health. When brushing the skin pores will tend to open making it easier to remove the dirt.
10. Stimulates oil glands and hormones. This will help the other body organs to function properly. When there is no way out for the toxins through the skin, the elimination is then forced to the kidney.

In order to perform dry skin brushing, one would need a natural fiber brush. A synthetic brush is not recommended for it can be very hard on the skin. It is better to have a long handle so you can reach areas that are hard to reach.

Here are some tips on how to perform dry skin brushing:

1. When doing this, the body must not be wet. Skin brushing must be done before bathing or taking a shower.
2. It does not matter where you start brushing for as long as the entire body is taken care of.
3. Light pressure should be applied where the skin is sensitive. Harder pressure must be applied on the soles of the feet.
4. Perform is once a day preferably in the morning.
5. Of course, when some areas are affected with rashes or wounds do not apply skin brushing.

I always recommend starting down at the feet, and working your way up towards the heart. Do this in even, soothing strokes. Avoid your face, as the bristles can irritate delicate skin.

You can find a dry skin brush and Bed Bath and Beyond, Bath and Body Works, Sally Beauty Supply, and Target. No need to wash the brush! Just spray it occasionally with tea tree spray!
Maintain a daily dry brushing routine for at least 5 months to achieve maximum results. You should notice improvement in your hair and skin in general.

Enjoy, and please start today!!!!!!! I have been dry skin brushing for years, have two children, and not a dimple on my thighs in sight! It works!!!!!

Gorgeous Gal Alert!

I had the pleasure of working with two fabulous photographers in town! Amanda Julca: www.amandajulca.com, and Amy C. of C Studios: www.cstudiosphotography.com This is my second time working with Amanda, and believe me, each time is an honor. I have always admired Amy, and so this was a true blessing.

Amy was in need of new headshots for her website, I in need of a gorgeous red-head gal for my site, and Amanda needing new shots as well. I had so much fun working with both women. They are so very talented, the brides LOVE them, and Amy is gorgeous!

The look Amy wanted to go for, was "vintage-mod".. This conjured up thoughts for me of Twiggy, Audrey, and other greats..

I immediately translated this into a "Amy friendly" look. Played up eyes, and a nuetral lip.

Wanted to acheive this look? Apply a nice tinted moisturizer by Clarins..

A thick liner in charcoal was applied, by Prestige cosmetics. Two coats of mascara, false lashes, and a nude lipstick! Voila!

Celebrity Love..

I recently had the pleasure of working with local photographer Scott Cunningham of CMH magazine (www.cmhmag.com) for a photoshoot with local celebrity Dominique Reighard of America's Next Top Model Cycle 10. The shoot was for a print ad for my dentist Dr. Schumann of Grove City Dental.

Dominique arrived to the shoot looking flawless, and not a stitch of make-up on. We talked about all her new endeavors, and more. The look I wanted to go for was natural, pretty, fresh, and clean. Her teeth were the focal point, and so an impeccable precise lip was a must.

Here we are doing touch-ups in between takes. Of course you all know I brought out my secret weapon: The Shimmer Brick by Bobbi Brown, and applied it to the apples of her cheeks.. Mac cremestick lip liner in: 'Ginger Root' was applied, with Sugar High Beauty Rush Lip gloss on top.

A well defined eye in Sand and Sea Pallete by Estee Lauder, with individual lashes strategically placed, really made her eyes pop.

Here I am, making sure everything is flawless...

I could not possibly be the only gal out there who fondly remembers watching her grandmother do the, "strangest faces" in the mirror every night :) Grandma was on to something. Facial exercises have been around for centuries, and have amazing benefits! Plus, I am all about saving you money.. This is perfectly free!

The Facial Map

Here we have the anatomy of the face. Below is more information on how the muscles all work together:

You should work all the muscle groups of the face so that the toning up and building up of facial muscles will be symmetrical. These are the muscle groups you'll be working on:

The muscles that surround the eyes - the circular orbicularis oculi muscles. When these muscles are worked, the small eyelid (palpebral) muscles are also worked, preventing hooded eyelids.
The muscle that surrounds the mouth - the circular orbicularis oris muscle. When this muscle is worked correctly, other smaller muscles of expression, like the zygomaticus, the buccinator, and the risorius are also worked.
The muscle of the chin - the mentalis muscle. When this muscle is exercised, the muscles at the front of the neck will also be brought into play.
The muscles at the front of the neck - the platysma and sternomastoid muscles. These muscles when they are toned up give a vigorous, vibrant, youthful appearance to a person.
The muscles of the head - the frontalis and occipitalis muscles at the front and back of the head. When the occipitalis muscle is brought under control and toned up, it will give a pleasing lift to the eyebrows. Gaining control of this muscle, especially for women, involves some hard work. Once the exercise for this muscle is mastered, though, it's easy to do and even refreshing.
The jaw muscles - the masseter and others. You don't have to be concerned about these because they get enough exercise when you chew food.

What are the benefits?

Prevent slack facial muscles
- Never mind how good your skin care might be, you may get to the time in your life where all your facial muscles simply go slack, lax, saggy, baggy and crepey. The effect is that of a pile of washing - untidy and not that great to look at.
Achieve a smooth wrinkle-free skin
- Facial exercises will do a great deal to promote a smooth wrinkle-free skin, and a vibrant glowing picture of health. Start your free facial exercises now, to achieve a more youthful look.
Facial exercises are economical - they are for free

- Never mind how good your skin care regimen, or the skin care product you use, you may still need facial exercises to maintain the base muscles of your skin. In the same vein - facial exercises do not negate the use of skin care products - these two disciplines go hand-in-hand - and for a truly ageless look, both must be used together.

Exercises for Double Chin

Everyone can correct the form and size of their chin by doing facial exercises. The secret of these exercises is that they strengthen the muscles, lift the skin and reduce under-chin fat. When you do these exercises regularly, that is once or twice daily, you can feel the first results after two weeks. And here are the exercises:

Sit down straight. Tilt your head back. Pull down the neck skin with your hand collarbone-high and keep holding so while you are exercising. Then pull your lower jaw forward and press your lips together. Hold in this position for 2 seconds. Then release for another two seconds and repeat again. Make 30 repetitions daily. You will feel the neck muscles and skin stretching. One doing this exercise looks like a fish in an aquarium.
Lie on your back with straight legs and hands on the floor near your thighs. Press your chin to your chest and hold in this position for 2 seconds. Then slowly tilt your head back, then again slowly press your chin to you chest. Make 25 repetitions.
Lie on your back with straight legs and hands on the floor near your thighs. Lift your head up, so that your chin is the highest point of the head, hold it for 2 seconds, then slowly release and lay your head down. Make 30 repetitions. You should feel your neck skin stretch.

Breathing Rules during Exercising

While you are doing these exercises make sure, that the rhythm of your breath is the same as the rhythm of your motions. For example, breathe in, as you lift your head and breathe out, as you lay your head down.

Hello cookies! I recently had the pleasure of being a guest speaker at the Columbus Bridal Consultants monthly meeting. When I received the invitation from Heather Smith of 'Bridal Smiths', (www.bridalsmiths.com), and Jamie Rapavy of 'Devoted To Details' (www.devotedtodetails.com) I jumped at the opportunity. Not only did I get to interact with other fabulous wedding vendors, but I got to do live make-overs! What fun!

Gorgeous Guy Alert!

Hi tootsie pops!

So, I promised to do a gorgeous guy alert, and while I think this entire posting should be about my hubby, (smile) I have dedicated the post instead to two male models, and pals I had the pleasure to work with last week.

Our fabulous photographer was Shannon Williams Photography, whom I totally admire. Shannon photographed Arend, and Thomas in downtown Columbus on a gorgeous afternoon. Our music of choice was actually the bustling of on-lookers walking by, birds chirping, and the occasional honking female! Ha!

Here is Thomas.. Thomas is actually one of the top modeling agents in Ohio, but was a former model. Yep! I can see why!

And Arend. I always tease Arend and tell him that he looks like a prince in once of those fairy tale books.. Look at his hair, eyes, and jaw-line!

For both gentlemen, I used a tinted moisturizer by Laura Mercier:

I used a clear mascara to groom their brows. This is perfect for even us gals. Just comb your brows in an upwards motion, and over to seal in place. It works! Not only that, it conditions the tiny hairs, and adds a soft sheen...

I have heard so many great things about Neutrogena's, 'Natural Radiance Bronzer', that I decided the perfect time would be to test it on this shoot! It went on amazingly smooth, and gave a warm, natural, healthy glow.

Last, I ended with Burts Bee's lip balm. I love the way it conditions the lips, and gives a supple glow for men, and women!

Hello cookies! With wedding season here, I have been away for longer than I would like, but it's great to be back! (smile)

As promised, I have several books that I would like to recommend to add to your personal library. You will love these books, I guarantee it! I always love hearing your own personal reviews of the books, so please feel free to contact me.

First, I bring you a great fiction read by Dean R. Koontz:

This book is absolutely touching, and amazing. It is a story that follows the journey of two brothers, (one autistic, but brilliant), and their will to stick together despite the loss of their mother. I don't want to give too much away, but trust me on this---this book is a must read!

I had the pleasure of meeting celebrity make-up artist, and Tyra Banks bff, Sam Fine years ago. He not only inspired me to model professionally, but also to freelance as a make-up artist. In his book, 'Fine Beauty' he shares many tricks of the trade through an array of amazing pictorials. Love it!

The late Kevin Aucoin was an amazing celebrity make-up artist that passed away from a brain tumor. The legacy he left behind, was powerful. Not only his own cosmetic line, but this is one of his first books. Again, fabulous pictorials, testimonials, and celebrity make-overs.

Part of my job is too understand all women, and their beauty related needs/concerns. I purchased, 'How Not To Look Old', to gain more of an understanding, and sensitivity for my "graceful" clientele. Charla Krupp breaks down everything from clothing to eye-wear, hair color, make-up, and more. This is a must have read for everyone thirty five years of age, and above! Heck, I even learned a thing or too :)

Okay, I am not a finatic, but this book changed my life. I am now a proud Vegetarian, aka Veggie Gal. I never thought that I would make, "the switch", but after reading such a straight forward fact based book on the meat industry in our country, I knew this change was right for my life. Who knew of all the "icky stuff" the government allows in our food? I am proud to say, since I made the switch, I have lost twenty one pounds, gained more energy, and I feel better about my decision from an environmental/animal rights stand point. If your not interested in changing to the "Veg" lifestyle, still read this book, and learn of ways you can, at minimum, become healthier.

The last book I bring you 'Toxic Overload', breaks down everything from harmful chemicals in everyday household cleaners, to chemical in cosmetics, etc. Did you know that many people are ill simply due to a "toxic overload?".. This is a must read if you wish to be healthier...

I love posting 'Gorgeous Gal Alerts'. I had the pleasure of working with the gorgeous Shannon who lives in Chicago, but is originally from Worthington. Shannon wanted a look that was timeless, and beautiful for her wedding. She has such amazing eyes, and skin, that I couldn't WAIT to do her make-up. While she got ready, her and I chatted about Chicago, our love of make-up, and about the details of her special day. Here we are, finishing up last minute touch ups. I really wanted to play up Shannon's eyes, give her gorgeous highlighted skin, and a soft kissable lip that her new hubby would appreciate.

How did you get started doing makeup professionally?
I started out in Seattle, Washington as a cosmetic counter manager for Borghese Cosmetics, an Italian line. I gained further experience as a professional commercial print model.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?
Seeing my clients faces light up after I have done their make-up. I really feel that I can bring a sense of joy with a whip of my make-up brush.

Did you know that you have the power to create your own spa-like beauty products at home? Yes dolls! Not only that, but these heavenly concoctions are found right in your kitchen. Our grandmothers were apparently ahead of their time. Back in the old days, (some of which are still practiced today) things like using olive oil on the skin as a moisturizer, to using cucumber slice
to reduce puffiness in the eyes were common. Today, many of the beauty products we use contain harmful chemicals, fragrance, and are tested on animals. Tap into your inner chemist, and have fun! Smile knowing that your being healthy while doing it!

For a fabulous body exfoliator, here is a recipe I have used for years:

Take 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/2 cup of regular olive oil. Add two drops of your favorite essential oil. I personally love using Lavender for it's calming benefits, and aromatheraphy. Mix your ingredients, until you form a paste like consistency.

Now that you have your exfoliator ready, on DRY skin, start with your feet. Gently exfoliating your body with your heads. Work your way up in smooth motions towards your heart. Your not only sloughing away skin, but you are improving your circulation. Have someone help you with your back if possible. Next, rinse your skin. I promise cookies, you will gain the softest skin you have had in awhile.
Very important to remember, avoid your face, and neck as the sugar, and oil can irritate this delicate skin. Also, if you break out after exfoliating, this is normal, as you have sloughed away dead skin cells. What is left underneath, can spring forward but will dissapear in a couple of days.

The model Amy Crandall is a graduate of Kent State University with an Art degree in Photo Illustration. In addition to modeling, she enjoys photography, fashion, her family, and friends.

Amy arrived to the shoot fresh from the gym. She is one of those women that look stunning with absolutely no make-up on, even after a hard workout. She wore simple Victoria Secret Sport attire, her hair was loose, and flowy. Shannon the photographer, was laid back, down to earth, and very warm.

. The fireplace kept us warm while we worked. Great people, great pictures, oh happy day!

We started off with a classic beauty shot. I kept the make-up simple, fresh, and pretty.

Once on location, I added a pretty teal colored eyeshadow, to make Amy's eyes pop.

Masque 101

You want gorgeous, soft skin. You can achieve this chicas, and chicos without spending hundreds of dollars on foundations, and cover ups. The key is establishing a great skin care regime, and letting your skin breath. After cleansing your skin, and before moisturizing, I highly recommend using a masque. All skin types can benefit from this type of treatment. Do you have tight, dry itchy skin? Prone to blackheads? Are your pores the size of the moon? There is a masque out there for you!

The purpose of a facial masque is to improve skin and outlook of the face, depending on the type of skin as following:
To absorb oil
To moisturize dry skin
To replenish dull skin

Face mask is very nourishing. After applying a facial mask, you will feel fresh and people will notice your much younger looking face. Don't believe me? Do a skin test on one hand. Leave the mask on for five minutes. Once it is removed, compare it to your other hand. Do you see the difference? Amazing isn't it?

Here are my tips for finding your appropriate masque, and achieving the skin you want.

Always test the mask, particularly if you have a sensitive skin. Apply a small amount behind your ear or inside of the elbow, wait for at least 30 minutes, then wash off. If there is no adverse reaction in the next 24 hours, then only apply the mask on your face.
Rinse mask thoroughly with warm water followed with cold water.
Don't apply masks more than twice a week.
When applying a face mask, you should try to avoid area around your eyes and lips.
Vary the ingredients to see their effects on your skin.
If you have combination skin, you may apply a mud mask only over the T-zone, i.e. the center of cheeks, nose, center of forehead. and chin.
If you like, before applying the mask, hold your head over a warm pot of water. Not too close! You don't want to burn yourself. By steaming your skin, you are opening your pores, and getting your skin ready for maximum absorption.

When I steam my skin, I like to also add a few drops of Lavendar essential oil by Elemis to the pot of water.

Take a small amount of the mask on the tips of your fingers and apply it over your face and neck using a circular motion of your fingers. Start with your chin, move upwards and then outwards.
Spread a thin and even coating.
Leave mask to dry for at least 30 minutes. Do not use a dryer to dry it. Let it for air dry. You will feel as if your skin has tightened when the mask is dry.
Splash water on your face and give gentle massage strokes on your face to remove the mask.
Gel mask: Peel off from the forehead moving down.
Mud mask: Dip a cloth in hot water and use it to remove the mask slowly. Pat face dry with a towel.
Moisturizing or replenishing mask: Wipe off with a soft tissue paper.
Follow up with your moisturizer, and let your skin breath. No foundation, no powder!
Your skin may break out after. This is normal. You have pulled all the "gook" from underneath, and now your skin is healing, and renewing itself.

So what masques do I recommend? Below you will find products I love, that are tried, and true!

Origins Clear Improvement Masque! AMAAAAAAAAAZING. Ask for a sample from an associate at the department store. This detoxifies, minimizes pores, moisturizes, and helps to fade dark spots. Great for oily, acne prone skin. If you have normal skin, this is great for a once a month cleaning. Don't forget to steam first!

Is your skin dry, and in need of a big glass of water? Try this Hydra-Care Masque. Key word: HYDRA. Apply this masque after cleansing, and before moisturizing. I personally recommend sleeping with this on overnight, and removing in the morning. Hydrating the skin is so important if you are looking to keep fine lines at bay, dry patches, and the like.

In just about 5-10 minutes, your skin will feel refreshed, more resillient, and moisturized. Great for older skins that need a boost.

Don't forget your body! Applying a masque to your back, feet, and legs promotes excellent circulation, supple healthy skin, and clarity to the skin. I looooooove . Trust me. You will feel like you are at a spa with this mud masque imported from Italy.

I had the pleasure of working as the lead hair, and make-up artist for the photographer Eric Wagner recently. He is a local commercial photographer that shoots celebrity clients, model portfolios, and the like. (www.illuminationphoto.com) Our model subject was the lovely Erica. She is thirteen years old, and has dreams of being an actress in addition to a pro volley ball player.

She arrived to the shoot fresh faced with her adoring mother. She wore a cute Ed Hardy designer hoody, fitted leggings, and converse shoes. Our music of choice was, 'Little Jackie', who sings the hilarious song, 'The World Should Evolve Around Me'.

Erica is signed with the modeling agency Heyman Talent, so the look we were going for was fresh, clean, and gorgeous make-up.

Isn't she gorgeous?

I wouldn't be surprised if we see her on television soon.

So beautiful... For this look, I applied thick black false lashes to give a real glamour look.

I kept her make-up fresh, clean, and age appropriate. She really reminds me of a young Paula Patton.

Would you like to achieve this look? To keep the look soft, and natural, I used a tinted moisturizer in Clarins. The color on model Erica was 'Bisque'. A cream blush moisturizer keeps the skin fresh, and dewy. I used Trish Mcevoy in, 'Models Choice'. I used Cover Girl cream eyeshadow in mauve. These are great as they do not crease, and are very natural looking. Top it off with two coats of black mascara, and a clear lip gloss in Mac Lip Glass. Your all set!

Here comes the bride!

On Sunday February 22nd, I got married. Well, sort of ;) I was the head make-up artist for the Columbus Bridal Expo. In addition to doing the models makeup, I actually modeled in the fashion show. As you can imagine, it wasn't difficult to get dressed up in gorgeous couture gowns, by Alan Ray bridal and strut my stuff on the runway.

Each model had a touch of Victorias Secret Supermodel shimmer. It is very subtle, and the scent is purely decadent. Smoky eyes, and sultry lips were the makeup of choice. Mac lashes gave them that extra va-va-va voom. What a great time it was!

Let me tell you bout' the "Burts, and The Bees, and the"......

Do you remember that old song by Martin Dean? The 'Birds and the Bees'.. As I got ready to go into todays product rave, I thought of that song! Ha! Now then.. There is a natural line of products called, 'Burts Bees' that I absolutely love. You can find it at your local grocery store, health food store, or Tarjaaaaay (Target). They are very reasonably priced, and they are good for you!!

Burts Bees is a earth friendly company, that provides products that are harvested from nature. They do not test on animals, and their products are infused with beeswax, essential oils, botanicals, herbs, and flowers. See there? I personally love their basic lip balm. It feels refreshing, and keeps my lips soft, and supple. It has coconut oil, and lanolin. All natural beeswax seals in the moisture. This is great for the guy in your life too. The packaging is not too girly, so your beau will feel "cool" about using this:

Pucker up chicas! These lip shimmers come in all different colors, and are gorgeous. They condition your lips, while providing a subtle color. Perfect for the minimalist, or even the glamour gal who wants a soft color. Take it with you to the gym, or wear it to the grocery store:

Ooo la-la! I love these super shiny lip glosses. The color selections are endless, they feel great, look great, and are long lasting. They also have almond extract, which is an excellent antioxidant. My favorite shades are: 'Pucker Berry', 'Nectar Nude', and 'Sweet Pink':

Okay, this cuticle cream is to absolutely go ga-ga over! They actually obtain its properties from the citrus lemon tree. It's known for its astrigent, and anti-flammatory properties. Keep the jar in your bag, and massage your cuticles daily. Don't forget your toes! You will love this product. I PROMISE:

Had a long day at work? Girlfriends, these bath salts are heavenly. Go home, and indulge in a warm bath of these salt crystals. The salts have natural lemon oil, rosemary, and eucalyptus. Their ingredients help prevent the build up of lactic acid in your muscles, which help keep you on top of your game!:

I could go on for days about the "Burts and the Bees" (smile) but I will end with the, 'Carrot Seed Oil Compexion Mist'. Whenever I feel like I need a quick pick me up during the day, I just lightly mist my face. Not only does it feel soothing, but it helps to tone, rejuvenate, and replenish moisture. Great for all skin types, and can be spritzed over make-up. In the summer, keep refridgerated, and then take with you while your out. Talk about, "freshening up", you will love this dolls!:

Occasionally, I will feel so inspired by a model, that you will find her here, on my blog. That goes for the lovely Brittany D. I had the pleasure of working with her, and Red Gallery Photography (www.redgalleryphoto.com) on her modeling photo shoot. She recently was signed to one of the top agencies in Ohio. Yay!!!! Red Gallery shoots primarily weddings, but they have a strong background in fashion as you can see :) Brittany was absolutely a gem to work with, and Red Gallery, simply AMAZING!

Brittany arrived to the shoot relaxed, and comfortable. She wore cute fitted skinny jeans, and an American Apparel type top. She traveled in for the shoot the night before. Brittany is a full time student, business owner, and model. Her spirit, and smile just light up the room. 'Talking Heads' band was our music of choice to start, followed by 'Maxwell'.

Despite the freezing code, Brittany gave us some genuine laughs!

On Valentines Day, I was blessed to be hired for a makeup artistry job for the lovely promoter, Cerise. She is such a doll! She brings in international artists to the Ohio area, for people to enjoy. The show was called, 'The 90's Love Tour', and brought in artists such as, Dru Hill, Silk, Kelly Price, and Adina Howard. It was such an amazing experience! I had so much fun!

MelissaRoshan and Lieutenant Dans New Legs

Last night, I had the pleasure of working with my favorite local band, 'Lieutenant Dan's New Legs'. They performed at the Park Street Patio, and really rocked the show. If you need a great band to play at your reception, or event, you will LOVE them! Shareena the lead singer has been compared to Fergie of the, 'Black Eyed Peas', but she definitely has her own identity. www.ldnl.net

Shareena is such a doll, with loads of personality!

Ha-ha! My eye's look really strange in this picture!

For Shareena's makeup, I wanted to go with a glamorous look that translated well in the dark. Having out-to-there lashes was a must. I knew who I could rely on, and that was, Mac. I added rhinestone embellishments to the sides of her eyes, for drama. The shadow of choice was Loreal HIP concentrated shadow, in 'Charisma', DiorShow mascara, NYC sparkle dust as a highlighter underneath the brow, and Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush, in 'Slice of Heaven'. Shareena's skin is naturally flawless, so a basic loose powder, by Laura Mercier was all she needed. I topped her look off with Nars blush, in 'Orgasm' color.

Shareena was delighted with her look, and really rocked the show!

How to get, "Come Hither Eyes"..

They say your eye's are the windows to your soul. Well, why not make those "windows" as beautiful as possible? Before you roll up your sleeves and grab that shadow, it's important we do a bit of diagnosing and shopping first. Here are some helpful hints you can follow when shopping for your items....

The very first thing to take notice of, is the skin quality around your eyes. Do they appear sluggish, dry, or have dark circles? Do you have crows feet, puffiness, or broken capillaries? These symptoms can be contributed to genetics, stress, or nutrition. If you are not able to get the optimal eight hours of sleep, there are other ways to combat. Drinking plenty of water (8-10 glasses a day), flushes our system of toxins that can show up under the eye. Investing in a great multi-vitamin, balanced out by great nutrition is a must as well.

I personally love, 'Womens One A Day', but would recommend consulting with your primary care physician of course. Now that we have dealt a little with what is within, finding a great eye cream is a must. You may ask, "Why can't I just use my normal moisturizer?" The answer is, the skin around our eye's are much more delicate, and should be treated accordingly. For example, we wouldn't put the same cream on our hands, as we do on our feet.

If you are looking to treat puffiness, dark circles, or have oily skin, I recommend a gel based eye cream. Gel based creams have a natural caffeine agent, yes, caffeine, and so they help to de-puff, and reduce swelling. I love, 'Clarins Eye Contouring Gel':

Your wedding day smile

Ten years from now your wedding will be a beautiful memory for you and your partner. The primary way for you to remember it all will be your treasured photos and video recordings.

Make sure your smile and your partners smile are both radiant on the day. You don’t want to look back and think….“After all that money I spent on my dress, my hairstylist, my makeup, the photographer…I really should have done something about my teeth”.

To get you started, I have a few recommendations that will work for you! First thing's first, and that is-- you guessed it, brushing! Purchase an electronic toothbrush. It doesn’t need to be an expensive one – the $20 ones from the supermarket do a great job. Electronic toothbrushes are proven to clean better than hand held manual brushes, removing more tartar and helping the overall health of your mouth and teeth.

Use Listerine Whitening Mouthwash or something similar to kill any harmful bacteria, which will give you fresher breath and healthier teeth and gums. Avoid coffees, teas, berries, or tobbacco. These foods, and beverages can wreak havoc on our smiles!

A dazzling white smile is extremely important for your special day. It enhances your makeup, makes you appear more youthful and radiant and looks great in photos!

Purchase an effective Professional Teeth Whitening System, or even make an appointment for professional teeth whitening. White Science of Ohio, can help you get your pearly whites back for less: www.whitescienceofohio.com.

If you decide to do the system at home, choose a system that has customized mouthguards that can take a proper impression of the teeth (not sports mouthguards). Holding the whitening gel against the teeth for a full half hour is most important in getting an EVEN whitening and a long lasting result. Make sure the active ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide at least 7.5% to 9.5%. Hydrogen Peroxide is 3 times stronger than Carbamide Peroxide and works 3 times faster (you don’t have to wear it to bed). You’ll need to perform the treatment 3 weeks before your wedding and then for half an hour on the day of your wedding (to make em really white!)

One suggestion I always give my brides, are to choose a wedding day fragrance you have never worn before. The reason being, is that every time you wear the fragrance any time thereafter, you will always be reminded of your special day, as will your husband! I personally wore, Donna Karen Cashmere Mist, and now I bring it out for date nights, or special occasions.

Weddings are not just a celebration of love, but a memorable experience that involves friends, family--and yes--fragrance. According to experts, a wedding day should be carefully organized to be unforgettable, since fragrance, relationships and memories are closely intertwined.

She responded instantly to my email and I hired her in just a couple days of communicating with her. She was extremely responsive and easy to communicate before the wedding. I recently decided that it was time for new headshots - my old ones were taken way back in 2005 and didn’t really look like me so much anymore. I was very excited when the lovely and talented Red Gallery Photography agreed to do them for me. Normally, I really don’t like having pictures taken of me (I much prefer to be behind the scenes watching my brides and grooms get their pictures taken) but I knew I would be comfortable with Lisa behind the lens and that she would get some good shots.

Anyone who knows me at all knows that I don’t wear makeup. The daily extent of my makeup routine consists of Burt’s Bees lip balm and maybe a touch of mascara when I am feeling really sassy. Because of this simple fact, I knew I needed help with my makeup for the photo shot.

That is where the lovely and talented makeup artist MelissaRoshan comes in - I told her that the last time I had my makeup done by someone else I wound up looking like a cross between a clown (way too much blush) and *ahem* a lady of the night (way too much eyeliner). She swore she is the queen of natural looking makeup and to trust her - I am certainly glad that I did! She did an amazing job and for me to say that is a big deal - I never think makeup looks good on me but she even did some fun false lashes and still managed to make me look like myself.
